So what works totally depends on your guitar and amp choices and the final sound you are looking for.īut here's a general thought. What we're talking about here in general is adding a light touch of gain but at the same time shaping tone due to the EQ impact of the dirt pedal. ![]() Neither are always on for me because I also frequently use a super clean tone straight into my Fender tube amp. I've been digging the tones I get out of my MI Audio Crunch Box (a descendant of Marshall Bluesbreaker), but I also like the tone I get out of my EHX Soul Food.
